Liquid crystalline behaviours of some 3-perfluoroalkylbenzoate esters

A series of 3-perfluoroalkylbenzoate esters are synthesised. They tend to exhibit enantiotropic SmA and SmC phases. The clearing points are decreased with increasing the alkoxy chain length and show odd-even effect. With increasing the fluorocarbon chain length, the melting and clearing points increase; however, the SmC phase is suppressed.     

Synthesis,characterization, and electrochemistry of monophosphine‐containing diiron propane‐1,2‐dithiolate complexes related to the active site of [FeFe]‐hydrogenases

Five monophosphine‐substituted diiron propane‐1,2‐dithiolate complexes as the active site models of [FeFe]‐hydrogenases have been synthesized and characterized. Reactions of complex [Fe₂(CO)₆{μ‐SCH₂CH(CH₃)S}] ( 1 ) with a monophosphine ligand tris(4‐methylphenyl)phosphine, diphenyl‐2‐pyridylphosphine, tris(4‐chlorophenyl)phosphine, triphenylphosphine, or tris(4‐fluorophenyl)phosphine in the presence of the oxidative agent Me₃NO·2H₂O gave the monophosphine‐substituted diiron complexes [Fe₂(CO)₅(L){μ‐SCH₂CH(CH₃)S}] [L = P(4‐C₆H₄CH₃)₃, 2 ; Ph₂P(2‐C₅H₄N), 3 ; P(4‐C₆H₄Cl)₃, 4 ; PPh₃, 5 ; P(4‐C₆H₄F)₃, 6 ] in 81%–94% yields. Complexes 2 – 6 have been characterized by elemental analysis, spectroscopy, and X‐ray crystallography. In addition, electrochemical studies revealed that these complexes can catalyze the reduction of protons to H₂ in the presence of HOAc.     

Tantalum Nitride Nanosheets for Photoacoustic Imaging-Guided Photothermal Cancer Therapy

In this study, the synthesis of TaN nanosheets and their application in theranostic agents is reported. After coating polyethylene glycol (PEG) on the TaN nanosheets, the as-synthesized PEG-modified TaN nanosheets (TaN-PEG) show good stability and biocompatibility. Because of their high absorbance in the near-IR region, TaN-PEG can be utilized as photoacoustic imaging contrast agents for tumor imaging. Moreover, TaN-PEG has significant photothermal conversion performance, exhibiting effective laser-induced tumor ablation capability. The TaN-PEG possessing excellent photoacoustic contrast effect and photothermal properties thus have great promise in theranostic applications, especially imaging-guided cancer treatment.     

Study on the mechanism of catalytic synthesis of dimethyldichlorosilane by AlCl3/MIL‐53(Al)@γ‐Al2O3

Dimethyldichlorosilane, one of the most consumed organosilicon monomers in the industry, can be prepared in a highly efficient and environmentally friendly synthesis method of disproportionating methylchlorosilanes. However, the internal mechanism of the reaction remains unclear. In this paper, the mechanism catalyzed by AlCl₃/MIL‐53(Al) and AlCl₃/MIL‐53(Al)@γ‐Al₂O₃ catalysts was calculated at B3LYP/6‐311++G(3df, 2pd) level by using the density functional theory (DFT). The results showed that although the two catalysts had similar active structures, the catalytic effects were significantly different. The Lewis acid center on the surface of γ‐Al₂O₃ in the core‐shell catalyst is complementary to the classic Lewis acid AlCl₃ through the spatial superposition effect, which greatly improves the Lewis acid catalytic activity of AlCl₃/MIL‐53(Al)@γ‐Al₂O₃.

Uniform local well-posedness and inviscid limit for the Benjamin-Ono-Burgers equation

In this paper, we study the Cauchy problem for the Benjamin-Ono-Burgers equation \({\partial _t}u - \epsilon \partial _x^2u + {\cal H}\partial _x^2u + u{u_x} = 0\), where \({\cal H}\) denotes the Hilbert transform operator. We obtain that it is uniformly locally well-posed for small data in the refined Sobolev space \({\tilde H^\sigma }(\mathbb{R})\,\,(\sigma \geqslant 0)\), which is a subspace of L²(ℝ). It is worth noting that the low-frequency part of \({\tilde H^\sigma }(\mathbb{R})\) is scaling critical, and thus the small data is necessary. The high-frequency part of \({\tilde H^\sigma }(\mathbb{R})\) is equal to the Sobolev space H^σ (ℝ) (σ ⩾ 0) and reduces to L²(ℝ). Furthermore, we also obtain its inviscid limit behavior in \({\tilde H^\sigma }(\mathbb{R})\) (σ ⩾ 0).

     

弹性蛋白酶生物催化酯水解的综合实验设计*

酯的水解是有机化学实验教学中的一个重要化学反应,传统的酯水解实验设计是利用酸性或碱性环境在加热的条件下进行水解,而本实验设计将酯水解与生物催化相结合,利用弹性蛋白酶的水解功能,在常温及中性环境下实现对4-三氟甲基-7-丙酰氧基香豆素的水解。该实验设计创新性地将酯水解和酶催化相结合,有利于拓展学生的知识面,培养化学生物学复合型人才。同时,生物催化反应具有反应温和、环境友好等特点,符合当代绿色化学的需求。     

Redox-Active Two-Dimensional Covalent Organic Frameworks (COFs) for Selective Reductive Separation of Valence-Variable,Redox-Sensitive and Long-Lived Radionuclides

We report the first example of 2D covalent organic framework nanosheets (Redox-COF1) for the selective reduction and in situ loading of valence-variable, redox-sensitive and long-lived radionuclides (abbreviated as VRL nuclides). Compared with sorbents based on chemical adsorption and physical adsorption, the redox adsorption mechanism of Redox-COF1 can effectively reduce the impact of functional group protonation under the usual high-acidity conditions in chemisorption, and raise the adsorption efficiency from the monotonous capture by pores in physisorption. The adsorption selectivity for UO₂²⁺ reaches up to unprecedented ca. 97 % at pH 3, more than for any analogous adsorbing material.
